Code of Ethics

Ethical Conduct and Integrity

ENEC strives to continuously uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity, and to ensure the safety and long-term success of the UAE's Peaceful Nuclear Energy Program. To achieve this, ENEC established and implemented a robust set of standards, principles and model behaviors that all employees are expected to follow in the fulfillment of their duties. ENEC requires all employees, contractors, business partners and representatives to act in accordance with the highest standards of personal and professional integrity in all aspects of their activities, and to comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and ENEC standards, policies and procedures.

To establish the principles for ethical behavior, ENEC has in place a Code of General Business Principles and Ethics (the Code) which applies to all employees, including members of the ENEC Board of Directors and any applicable sub-committee of the Board, as well as all others who work with or represent ENEC, either directly or indirectly.

The Code establishes a set of common expectations of behavior for employees, while conducting business on behalf of ENEC, and in the best interests of ENEC. This Code offers general guidelines to promote an understanding of the mutual expectations and benefits of employment with ENEC. To align itself with a healthy nuclear safety culture, the Code has taken into account IAEA Nuclear Energy Series; Establishing a Code of Ethics for Nuclear Operating Organizations, No. NG-T-1-2 and regional and international benchmarks.
