ENEC Wins Major Honor for ‘Building Risk Management Capability’ at Global Risk Awards

The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC), the organization responsible for the development and operation of the UAE’s peaceful nuclear energy program, has won a major award in the ‘Building Risk Management Capability’ category at the Institute of Risk Management’s (IRM) 2015 Global Risk Awards. Over 30 well-known organisations, from all over the globe, submitted entries to the category and ENEC was selected to win by the judging panel of more than 30 leading risk management practitioners and academics.

ENEC’s entry, ‘Building Risk Management Capability,’ showcased how the corporation built a rigorous risk management process that is a critical element in the culture of safety that ENEC promotes. This world-class process included identifying and assessing potential strategic risks that could affect the business’ organizational mission.
