ENEC Wins Most Distinguished Government Entity Award In Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence In Government

Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) was honoured with three awards in the fourth Abu Dhabi Government Awards for Excellence in Government Performance 2015.

The first and most prestigious was the Most Distinguished Government Entity Award, which ENEC won out of 306 entries from 51 government entities in the Abu Dhabi Emirate.

H.H. Sheikh Hazaa bin Zayed, National Security Advisor and Vice Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, honoured ENEC’s team led by H.E. Mohammed Al Hammadi, ENEC CEO, in the ceremony that was organized by the office of the Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance, and was attended by Sheikhs, ministers, high officials, leaders and employees from government entities.

Two ENEC employees were also honoured at the awards. Asma Al Shanqeeti won the New Employee award, out of a shortlist of 100, and Majed Al Marzooqi was named one of the top three nominees in the Managerial Field category.

H.E. Mohamed Al Hammadi dedicated the winning, and expressed his sincere gratitude, to the wise leadership headed by H.H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, President of the UAE, H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Governor of Dubai and H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces in recognition of their role in the advancement of the UAE and the nation’s recognition as a world leader.

ENEC’s CEO also said: “Winning this award is the result of ENEC’s vision which is based on the highest standards of excellence and quality embedded across all divisions in our corporation. This adherence to high standards is what enables us to achieve our strategic goals.”

“ENEC has successfully implemented the highest international standards for operational efficiency and excellence in quality and performance by adopting nine international standards,” he added.

He also reiterated the country’s commitment to excellence in the UAE Peaceful Nuclear Energy Program. Al Hammadi also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to ENEC’s staff, whose efforts lead the corporation to its success in the Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance, and called upon the senior management of ENEC to continue its commitment to excellence and high standards into the future.

The Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance aims to support the Abu Dhabi government’s vision of advancement by evaluating and rewarding government entities’ performance highlighting areas of strength and of potential development.
