IAT Technical Training Program
For high school graduates interested in a hands-on, high-tech future, the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation has partnered with the Institute of Applied Technology (IAT) to develop two programs that will give you the specialist technical training and expertise to help operate our nuclear energy fleet.
The three-year program combine IAT-based course work and specialized technical programs delivered by operating nuclear energy trainers.
In partnership with ENEC and KEPCO the nuclear program is one of the flagship programs of Abu Dhabi Polytechnic and thoroughly integrates knowledge and practical skills through balanced delivery of instructional material at IAT and on-the-job training by a nuclear industrial training provider. Students will graduate with a Higher Diploma in Nuclear Technology (HDNT) oas well as job qualification certificates (JQC) in operational, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control, chemical, and radiation protection specializations.

Glossary:
Nuclear energy
The energy that is released during a nuclear reaction. Splitting atoms (fission) and fusing atoms (fusion) both release nuclear energy. Today's nuclear power plants use fission to produce energy, which allow them to generate electricity on a large scale.
