Timeline
The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation has developed a detailed work structure for the proposed UAE nuclear power plants at Braka, the preferred site, in conjunction with our partners from the Korea Electric Power Corporation team.
Unit 1 is expected to begin providing electricity to the grid in 2017. Plans are for the following three units to be completed in 2018, 2019 and 2020. These dates are subject to regulatory approval from the UAE Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation.
