Sultan Mohamed Al Khouri
Sultan Mohamed Al Khouri is the internal audit director and the Audit, Risk & Compliance committee secretary for the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC). He is responsible for managing the internal audit function, which evaluates and recommends improvements regarding risk management, internal control and governance processes. Sultan reports to the Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee, a subcommittee of the ENEC board of directors.

Before joining ENEC in November 2009, Sultan managed and led a team that reviewed and evaluated processes and internal controls covering various disciplines including enterprise risk management, capital projects, operations and maintenance, and finance. This team assessed performance management, governance processes, information technology applications, security and controls.
He started his 15-year career at the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) in August 1995. Next, he joined the Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO), an ADNOC subsidiary that operates in the offshore exploration and production of oil and gas. While working for ADNOC, Sultan held a number of positions in the finance, risk management and internal audit functions.
Sultan holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the United Arab Emirates University and an executive master’s degree in Business Administration and Project Management from the AUS.
